We offer two different services for the sawing of your logs, on-site and at our location in Fairview, N.C. One of our main strengths is in the sawmill. Unlike many "cantilever" style band mills, ours mounts the band saw blade assembly to a four-post head, this provides a significantly higher blade stability then found with the other band mills. What this equates to is a very stable cut throughout the log. Most cuts (species dependent) tend to stay within a 1/16th of an inch in deflection! Another benefit to using a band mill setup versus a traditional blade mill is the kerf of the cut. Where the blade that a typical band mill uses is 0.052", a traditional blade mill is 0.25"! It does not take long for this difference to really add up, this ultimately provides a much higher yield of lumber from a given log. Finally, with our 51HP diesel sawmill we have the capacity to easily handle logs up to 36" in diameter and 21' in length!
